THE CANDYMAN CAN  Who is Travers Beynon? Australian ‘Candyman’ and FreeChoice tobacco empire heir – all you need to know

Who is Travers Beynon?

Born in Melbourne in March 1972, Beynon is the heir and managing director to the FreeChoice tobacco empire.

Founded by his parents Trevor and Sandra, who live on the Gold Coast, the company claims to run more than 200 stores around the country.

Beynon attended Clairvaux College, a boy’s school on Brisbane’s south side with the motto ‘Christ is Our Life’ for some of his high school years.

He was apparently a “bogan with a mullet” in school – similar to a Chav – and a bit of a troublemaker.

What does Travers Beynon do for work?

Beynon used to be an Aussie Rules footballer and started his career at Southport Sharks Football Club on the Gold Coast.

He was drafted to the North Melbourne Kangaroos for the 1989 pre-season but suffered a debilitating back injury.

The injury set his career back again after he was traded to the Brisbane Lions the next year so he took up modelling instead.

He modelled for Levi Jeans, Moschino, Valentino, Paul Smith and Calvin Klein, and also shot for Versace in Milan.

Now styled as ‘Candyman’, Beynon posts pictures of his flamboyant lifestyle on Instagram where he boasts over 640,000 followers.

Is Travers Beynon married?

Beynon met his first wife met his first wife, international beauty and Miss World winner Ninibeth Beatriz Jiminez Leal, while living overseas.

Leal became Miss Venezuela 1991 and was then crowned Miss World 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 20.

The pair married and Ninibeth gave birth to their two children, Valentino and Lucciana.

The couple divorced and Beynon married his second wife Taesha, who he also has two kids with.

He came under fire for posting a picture on Instagram where he was leading his wife around with her bikini straps like a lead.

Why does Travers Beynon think he is a playboy?

The Aussie might be married but he regularly posts explicit pictures of himself surrounded by a bevvy of naked women.

Taesha also shares the former model and AFL star with hundreds of other women, including one of his ten girlfriends who shares their bed nightly.

The party boy throws hedonistic bashes at Candyman Mansion with the dozens of “Candy Shop goddesses”.

Beynon describes himself as “a cross between The Great Gatsby, Hugh Hefner, The Wolf of Wall Street and Tony Stark, with a taste for Versace, who can easily turn into a Willy Wonka character”.

What’s it like to be at one of Candyman’s parties?

Beynon’s friend and radio host Bianca Dye lifted the lid on the antics inside one of the party animal’s extravagant events.

But while speaking to Yahoo Be, Bianca revealed that the parties are “not some debauchery thing” instead describing them as “all about fun, being sexy and celebrating the human body.”

She said the party, which was hosted in December, was like “entering another universe” and that there was 150 staff working behind the scenes.

The 1,000 specially picked guests drank from “10,000 bottles of Absolut Vodka”, champagne and high-end tequila, said Dye.

And there were even special rooms for female guests to have their hair and make-up done by professionals after frolicking in the pool, Bianca said.

How much is Travers Beynon worth?

The businessman reportedly has a net worth of £39 million.

He owns an impressive collection of cars – including Rolls Royces, Lamborghinis and Ferraris.

Beynon has acquired most of his wealth from his businesses, especially from Freechoice Tobacco.

His property empire is believed to be worth £12.5 million.

Where is the Candy Shop Mansion?

The six-bedroom luxury pad is in an exclusive riverside residence in Queensland’s Gold Coast.

It is worth around £3 million.

What happened at Travers Beynon’s house?

Two females aged 23 and 19, and a 20-year-old male all suffering the effects of drugs or alcohol were treated and taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

It is understood the 19-year-old female was located wandering outside the residence.

A 21-year-old female suffering head and neck pain after allegedly falling from a dance podium was also taken to hospital.

A 27-year old male who cut his arm on window glass declined transportation to hospital, as did a 23-year-old female believed to have been bitten by a white tail spider.

The annual party was themed this year as the Seven Deadly Sins.

Many of the guests at the party won their way in via a promotion rolled out through the controversial tobacco tycoon’s chain of stores.
